New Agents and Misinformation
In every market, we face unknowing agents quick to share statistics that are either misquoted, taken out of context, or in no way related to the Real Estate Exchange System. These agents can be placed in one of two categories.
It's possible, especially in our newer markets, that agents are simply uninformed. I encourage these agents to learn more about our incredible system so we can work together in a way that best serves the consumer. The second category of agents includes those who already know the Real Estate Exchange is an incredible system, but feel threatened to the point of deceiving home buyers and sellers for their own short-term financial gain. This is unfortunate to see.
I understand that many agents are very young, new to real estate, or both. They always start with so much energy and enthusiasm! Statistically, though, 80% of today's new agents choose not to renew their license when it's up for renewal after their first two years. It's why there's been a noticeable decline in the level of expertise and professionalism in the real estate industry over recent years. The fact is, if you're talking to an agent who has only been in the profession for a short time, you know they have a limited number of home sales under their belt, and with this, very little real-world experience to guide buyers and sellers through a real estate transaction.
These "green" agents are fresh to the industry, full of whatever can be learned in the minimal number of required hours to secure a license. For sure, they're drinking the new agent Koolaid that has them programmed to believe yesterday's costly agent/MLS system is still the only way to sell a home. With a little time and experience, they too will realize that their system is an old-economy business model, one that is on the decline and, in most cases, no longer serves the consumer's best interest.
The Real Estate Exchange helps homeowners enjoy a simple, modern home-selling experience and save thousands of dollars in the process. Our average customer saves $15,000 as compared to the traditional agent commission structure. With billions in real estate sold and over $125 million in commissions saved, the Real Estate Exchange has a proven track record of delivering the results today's home sellers are looking for. Why would you ever pay thousands more for an inexperienced agent tied to an outdated and overpriced system when there’s a better way to do it for a fraction of the cost?
